Your profile photo should be a simple, professional picture of yourself.

Resumes must be uploaded as Word documents (.doc or .docx).

If you are unable to upload a photo or resume, it may be too large of a file. Try down-saving or converting to a smaller file size to upload.

When selecting your skills, choose those that you feel best represent your experience. Please be aware that this is not a comprehensive list and your resume and interview will be primarily used by recruiters to match you to potential jobs.

General FAQs


How long will it take to find a position with BAHS?

This varies from applicant to applicant. All positions are competitive, and it can take some time to find the right fit. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to help you find the right family based on your experience and qualifications.

The process can take from a week to several months. We recommend that you go on our website regularly to check what positions we have available. If there is anything that matches your qualifications, please apply.


Is it guaranteed that I will find a position with BAHS?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we can match you with a family. We will do everything we can to find you a position that suits your needs. However, it is always up to the family who they choose to interview with and to hire.


How do I apply for positions online?

Go to Apply for a Job and log in with your email and the password you created when you set up your profile. Once you are logged in, you can see the positions we have available and apply directly.


How do I create a new password?

If you do not remember your password, please click the "forgot password" tab, and enter your email address. You will receive a password reset link which will allow you to create a new password of your choice.


What if I do not hear from BAHS for sometime and fear that I have been overlooked?

Although we do our best to provide each applicant our feedback, we are unable to respond to everyone. In most cases, the main reason you have not heard from us is because of any one, or a combination of the following:

1. You may be applying for positions that require more experience than you currently have.

2. You may be applying for various roles that are outside of your normal role of experience.

3. You may be applying for positions that require a specific qualification such as a CPR certificate, valid driver's license, a doula certification, etc. that you currently do not possess.

4. Your resume does not support or prove that you are qualified for the positions for which you have applied.


Do we owe you a fee for registering with the agency?

No, using our service is free of charge for the applicant.

Resume Tips


Include your personal experience

Include the city or neighborhood for each position

Do not include addresses/phone numbers for employers

All private positions may be listed as "Confidential Family"

For nannies, make sure to include the age of the children when you started

Explain any positions that overlap

Explain any gaps in employment

Differentiate between part-time and full-time, permanent and temporary jobs

Add a reason for leaving under each position

Proofread your resume to avoid spelling or grammatical errors
