Shelby Valero
Senior Placement Specialist
Born and raised in California, Shelby learned early that great households feel effortless because someone is quietly orchestrating the details. In the first household she supported, French was the primary language spoken at home. Two years on the French–Swiss border followed, where she absorbed European estate standards and the rhythm of multi-home living.
Back in the U.S., she became the person families called when life got complex. From flights, passports, and pets to vehicles, vendors and home remodels, she kept it all moving with a calm, concierge precision that gradually shifted her from travel nanny to trusted house manager. In rural resort mountain towns, she refined a style defined by discretion, resourcefulness, and a knack for making snowstorms and schedules cooperate.
Her path then widened beyond private homes into people leadership for a global athleisure brand, where she coached high-performing leaders and built simple systems that scale. As a CTI-trained leadership coach and certified virtual talent-development facilitator, she later helped a fast-growing mental-health practice modernize its people operations by translating empathy into process all without losing the human thread. Missing families, she returned to the work she loves, supporting formal, fully-staffed estates.
Now at British American Household Staffing, Shelby pairs hospitality with operational clarity to build durable matches. She is known for coaching-informed communication, an instinct for culture fit, and fluency in travel-heavy and European placements.
Outside of work, you can find Shelby outdoors with her dog or lingering over French-conversation coffee dates with her friends in town.
