Kid Rolling Dough At Cooking Camp

Children’s Culinary Camps & Classes

In this post, we’ve put together a list of our favorite culinary classes, camps, and workshops for little ones around the world. Encouraging children to spend time experimenting in the kitchen has a myriad of benefits, from building confidence, curiosity, and independence to expanding their palates and instilling a lifelong love for cooking. We love finding children’s programs that are both fun and rooted in concrete culinary skills.

En Cuisine Gourmet Camp, London

With a variety of cuisines and options (everything from summer baking to Provençal cuisine), En Cuisine’s Gourmet Camp for children ages 6-12 is the perfect mix of hands-on exploration and helpful guidance from top professionals. Little chefs don’t need to bring anything – except maybe a container to bring home leftover treats in!

Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Workshop for Children, Paris

For parents serious about giving their child an incredible culinary experience, it’s hard to imagine a better choice than the legendary Le Cordon Bleu. Founded in 1895, the historic school can claim Julia Child, Giada De Laurentiis, and Yotam Ottolenghi as alumni, among many others. The school’s workshops introduce young chefs to French culinary fundamentals—from making their own pastries to perfecting pâte à choux. It’s an unforgettable experience for children ages 8 and up. This fall, they are offering their most iconic class to children: Chicken fillet crumbed “Cordon Bleu.” Bon Appétit!

Taste Buds Kitchen, New York City

This playful and fun experience offers structured classes, as well as private offerings and birthday parties. August has several interesting choices, including a one-day homemade pretzel workshop and a 5-day Advance Teen Cooking Camp.

The Gourmandise School, Los Angeles

The Santa Monica based cooking school offers camps for children (8-12) and teens (12-16). They also offer parent-child classes, including sushi, French macarons, pizza night, and homemade bagels.

The Real Food Academy, Miami

The Real Food Academy focuses on healthy farm-to-table foods, and really shines when it comes to teenage classes. They have a large array of classes for all levels, including knife skills, farm-t0-table principles, weeknight dinners teens can make themselves, and more.

SCAFA Summer Camp, Dubai

SCAFA, the School of Culinary and Finishing Arts, offers immersive culinary summer camps for aspiring young chefs ages 7-14. Throughout the weeklong program, children progress from basic knife skills and breakfast foods to more complicated dinner concepts like empanadas.
