  • How does the placement process work from start to finish?

    Once you contact BAHS, you will be paired with one of our placement specialists who will guide you through the entire process. First, they will ask you questions to learn about your family, unique needs, travel schedule, and budget. If you decide to move forward, they will collect an application fee to start the search. At this point, they will begin the job search and send you small batches of resumes of pre-screened candidates who they feel would excel in the position. You will be able interview candidates and schedule short trial periods to better gauge suitability. Once you find the right match, an offer is made to the candidate.

  • How long, on average, does it take to find someone?

    Finding the right fit can take as little as a couple of weeks, while some take up to a few months. It all depends on the demands of each position and the availability of candidates able to meet them. We will let you know upfront about any perceived difficulties based on schedule, compensation, etc.

  • Do you place temporary household staff roles in NYC?

    Yes, we often place temporary roles in many instances, such as when an employee is on personal/medical leave and coverage is needed in the interim, when a client is traveling and needs coverage during that time (e.g. travel nanny, private chef in the Hamptons, while on location filming, etc.), and many other unique circumstances.
